A little over two years ago I faced some major transitions.  From September 2008 to February 2009 I lost a job, got married, moved across the country from New York to Los Angeles, learned a whole new city, moved into a new home, and started a whole new career and life. All in five months.  Yeah.

I understand change.  We all face transitions in our personal and professional lives.  When a major transition happens, it's hard for our physical space to keep up with our new commitments and schedules. Our space needs to change as our lives change: a guest room becomes a nursery, the dining room table is a home office for new business venture, one closet now needs to fit two wardrobes. 

Bins and Purge is an organizing service based in Los Angeles committed to helping clients purge the clutter from their homes and businesses, and create strategies and simple habits to maintain long-term organization even during times of change and new adventures.

Founder Laura Mannino (that's me!) is excited to use her attention to detail, creativity, and humor to help individuals and businesses bring peace and efficiency to their spaces. I help clients in moments of transitions to recognize the items that are important and add value to their new lives from the stuff that overwhelms and clutters their spaces.

By discarding stuff that suffocates your creativity, efficiency, and your time, you are then able to make small, manageable changes to your daily habits to maintain a peaceful environment when your life is anything but peaceful.

Since 2009, I have assisted in organizing for individuals and small businesses, helping clients with the following:
  • Purging drawers, cabinets and desk surface of old papers.
  • Prioritizing active and necessary papers.
  • Creating new filing systems and paper flow systems.
  • Designing desktop work flow systems.
  • Re-purposing surface areas like kitchen counters.
  • Reassigning multiple home closets.
  • Identifying and placing dishes and kitchen supplies for easy access.
  • Clearing garage shelves and outside storage space.
  • Creating electronic master contacts information.
  • Arranging and maintaining electronic files and calendars.
  • Sorting and labeling photos and memorabilia.
